Gratitude for My Career Path

October 26, 2016

November is the month of gratitude. I thought I would write about how grateful I am for massage. I’m grateful on so many levels, personal and professional. Massage has also allowed me to go places I probably would not have gone before.

On a personal level, I was looking for a career where I could help people, work independently and be part of a team and meet great people. I run my own business, and work with a great team of people. We support each other and try to work for the greater good of our clients.

On a professional level, I have been blessed to meet amazing people. I have clients from all walks of life. Every single one is a gift and I am grateful to know them. I am grateful to be able to help these people with massage therapy.

Massage has also allowed me to travel to places I have never been before and to go to conventions I would not have gone. I worked on Ride the Rockies for Team US West and also worked on the main team. I traveled across the state to Telluride, Aspen, Durango and other beautiful places in Colorado. I have done chair massage at various festivals and conventions. Renaissance Festival is a great place to people watch and lets me dress up in costume.

Starfest allows my sci-fi nerd to come out. I also get to see great costumes and see celebrities. Great American Beer Fest is the largest beer fest in the nation and I have met people from around the globe. I also worked Taste of Colorado and People’s Fair and met some great people and bought some unique crafts.

I am so grateful for this career I have chosen. Massage has given me wonderful experiences. It has enriched me both personally and professionally. I have met wonderful people and gone to amazing places.
